I put my fermenter in the fridge to crash chill for a week.

I just removed it to bring it back to room temp overnight before bottling tomorrow and the whole thing is frozen solid!! It's thawing on the sink as we speak. The fridge was set at about 4-5 degrees and I was using cling wrap. Because I was away for work for the period I couldn't check on it.

Will this affect my beer at all?

What should I do?

Next time stick a big piece of wood and suspend it in the middle.

Beercicle

Thanks Manticle.

My next question I guess is once it has defrosted, should I give it a stir and let it go again at room temp for a few days?
