Hey
Ok I know its very early days, I only bottled the beer about 11 days ago so of course it won't be at its best in flavour etc.
The bit I'm a bit worried about is the beer its pretty flat. I used 2 carbonation drops per 740ml PET bottle. There was some stuff which was stuck at the bottom of the bottle, not sure if thats the carbonation drop laying dormant??
Now the part I didn't know untill recently is that the beer must be stored in room temp e.g 18 degress so that carbonation process can take affect.
For the past 11 days after bottling my beer it has been in the garage and here in Tassie we have had a cold snap so the bottles would be stored in approx 8 degrees temp for the past 11 days or so.
Is there anyway to get the beer carbonated again?
Do I give each bottle a shake and store it in room temp for the next 2 weeks? Or is there somthing else I need to do?
What is the general rule of thumb for keeping your beer in room temp after bottling untill you can store them in cooler temps to last longer?
Any Help would be great.
