Hi all,

I brewed a Dr Smurto golden ale a few weeks back. Seems a few things went wrong with sparging or mash temp (was about 8 points under my target OG and hop additions (think I must have stuffed up the hop schedule and added too much too early). The result is a fairly clean but slightly too bitter 4% beer that's missing a bit of body.

It's kegged and carbed now and I'd like to add a bit more Amarillo hop character to it. I was thinking about making a hop tea with 15g or so of Amarillo steeped at about 60c in the coffee plunger, then pressure transferring it to the keg from a purged PET bottle.

Reckon this will work?

Yes, i did the same to a lager that was already kegged but was lacking a bit of hop bitterness, id be wary of the water temp as it may make your beer even more bitter.
