Should Irish Moss only be used if you are able to run the wort off the break material at the end of the boil?

FYI - I've just started minimashing and don't yet have taps to allow whirlpool/draining so I need to dump the entire contents of the brewpot into the fermenter. Therefore I am wondering if I could still use Irish Moss or if transferring all contents from the brewpot will negate its benefits.

Add it anyway Rukh - you will still have the advantage of having the proteins coagulated so you can take the beer off them after fermentation. If you choose not to use the irish moss, the proteins may stay in solution and precipitate later on as haze in your beer.

Thanks for the advice, Mr G Herder. I'll give it a go.

I've also ordered some polyclar from Mr Ross Craftbrewer Esq.
