With the road freight system jammed up at the moment, things are taking between 1 and 2 days longer to get to many destinations.

For those looking to get supplies into Sydney and most regional NSW areas, we'd suggest not leaving orders to go beyond 10 am 18th Dec if it's going to have a chance of getting to you on time.

Brisbane and regional QLD orders, most areas: Really need to be in over the weekend and dispatched by Monday to guarantee delivery pre-Christmas.

Most courier services will shut down until after new years beyond Christmas Eve. Aust Post orders will be as normal and many areas are receiving Saturday morning deliveries to clear the Xmas Backlog.

For anyone up this way, in-store pick ups can be arranged for NYE before 12:00pm by arrangement.

We're taking our first real break in nearly 5 years and will close on Christmas Eve normal time, re-open for NYE restocks until 12 noon and then close again until the 5th, when courier services return to normal and the suppliers are re-opened.

We have a whole new range of malt extracts currently being sorted into stock including:

These will open up a whole new world of beer styles for the guys brewing with extracts.
Vienna Red
Bamburg Rauch
Munich October
Bavarian Dunkel
Maibock
Bavarian Pilsner
and more on the way

For the Belgian fans,
Belgian Candy Sugars -
Clear
Amber
Dark
Dark II
^ These will be loaded up to the website over the next few days

Stainless Hop Baskets are on the way and due within a day or 2

We've also just received another Metric T of Weyermann, Thomas Fawcett, Bairds and Barrett Burston Specialty Malts. There's also a huge shipment of hops in the freezers with just about everything except Galaxy at healthy levels again. Northdown, Amarillo, Liberty, Citra, Centennial, Willamette, Cascade, Chinook, EKG, Fuggles, Dr Rudi, Motueka, Riwaka, Wai-iti, Rakau, Mosaic etc

From myself, Karen and the Team at National Home Brew, many thanks to our most excellent customers for your loyal support throughout 2014 and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Hoppy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year for 2015.

Keep up the good work Martin, care to elaborate on the stainless hop baskets?

Cheers

What's happening with consignments down to Vic shipped today mate?
Should be there OK mate.

Larger Victorian orders needed by Christmas probably need to be in and away Wednesday for most areas.
Edit note add info

Well done mate, you guys enjoy a few days off over Xmas. :kooi:

Just a note of caution for Sydney brewers looking to order, my hops shipped by Martin and team last Thursday (speedily as always) are still stuck somewhere in transit. The guys in the mailroom at work are hearing from couriers that as so many deliveries were not made in the CBD yesterday, theres a much worse than normal backlog. Not sure if that's true or just chatter. But it might pay to get any orders in asap.

Best wishes to Martin, Karen and all at National Homebrew, hope you enjoy your well earned break
