Hi Guys,

My brewing partner (went halves with 3v setup costs) has just gone and got a filter for our beer.

It is a bright ale that we are kegging in a few hours.

He bought a filter with connections on it to go from fermenter through filter into keg via beer pick up tube.

Now i'm not sure where he plans on putting the pump (if it pushed or pulls through filter) but would cause any aeration of the wort?

We only have 2 kegs to use at the moment, and we have 40 odd ltres of beer.

Cheers

Adam

My preference would be to rack into one keg and then transfer to second keg through the filter using CO2 pressure..

Thanks for the quick replies.

we only have 2 kegs and we are filling 2 kegs.

If using a pump is a no no, might have to rack into a keg, then filter to other keg, then use gravity to fill last keg.

So using a magnetic pump is not good?

A typical mag drive pump will run at to high a pressure and more than likely damage the filter membrane agillies. CO2 is the way to go or set the fermenter higher than the filter and receiving keg.
