Cotton seed oil would be a little cheaper but you would need to do a few fry ups to justify the oil cost.
Sinkas, instead of a brew day what about a fry up day...

I 'm still liking the cheesecake.

I'm not sure I'd want to use the brew pot for that... I'd be too worried about not getting all the oil cleaned off and endign up with it in a brew.

Mind you after eating a deep fried turkey with cheesecake and having my arteries clang shut, an oily beer might be the least of my problems.
