Hey all, I found this liver churning recipe.. almost tempted to have a crack at it!

RSI " Marital Bliss"
Category Stout
Recipe Type All Grain

Fermentables
20 lb 2-row britsh
2.5 lb Belgian Carapils
2 lb Crystal (60L)
2 lb Munich 2-row
1 lb Belgian Special B
.5 lb Chocolate Malt
1/4 lb black Patent
5 lb Amber Extract

Hops
6 oz northern Brewer (60min)
3 oz fuggles (5min)
Other
.5 oz Irish moss at end of Boil
Yeast 1214 Belgian Liquid (And definitely make a starter!)

What sort of volume is this for? 5 Gallon?

And are there any reviews for it?

Sounds like the kind of stout that would still taste rich and beautiful after many years in a bottle.

I am going to ear mark this recipe for later in the year.

Cheers

Marlow

1/4 black patent. geeeezus christ. marital bliss cause you'd be dead. this would take ages to come right. a good 2 years i recon with all that patent. and she'd be sweet. although it is 168g of hops @60min

I found the recipe on a beer cd i bought off ebay! 600+ odd recipes and this wasnt the only nasty one.
They didnt even state what size batch it is, but if it was 23L.. jeeze!
I reckon you could squeeze a 50L batch out of it and it would still knock your socks off.
Definately a stout to put away for a year or two.

Not much of that recipe makes any sense... 2.5lb of carapils in a stout? Belgian ale yeast?

I would pass!
