I thought I would post this up for anyone else out maybe experiencing the same problem.

So I've been having problems with my beer equipment not heating up enough. At 1st I thought it was not enough heat coming from them. So I added another element and got a boil fine. For the sake of it I took a amp reading and found both elements reading 2 amp less then what they should be reading. I also took a voltage reading and found the voltage was at 220v so I did a calc and found my elements are running near half of what it should be running. My 2kw element was drawing 1.3kw and my 2.4kw element was drawing 1.76 kW.

Both elements are In good working order. Short story I've had a problem with showers zapping at the house. Endeavour energy can't figure what is causing it. The whole street is getting zapped from water conductors. They have been testing and replacing stuff for over a month
And next step is upgrading the power lines in the street.

Thought I would post this up in case anyone else is thinking there elements are under powered

Your elements are rated for 240v and your running them at 220v giving you the lower power rating.
Sounds like there's a loose neutral, possibly at the transformer.
The electricity is trying to get back through the earthing system instead, pipes, water and you included. Not good!
