I decided it was time to clean out the house because of the increasing likelihood that I'll be selling up and moving to Pomgolia. Whilst I didn't set out to build a bottle collection, I was storing my empties in case I needed them for homebrew (that's my story and I'm sticking to it). So it turns out that I have around 320 empties. I think that less than 1% will be double ups. The majority are small (330/375ml), however there are also pint and 750ml bottles.

This collection would be perfect for for use by a homebrewer, for display in a pub or for the viewing pleasure of of a bottle collector. Please buy them and save me from throwing them out.

I asked the seller about this Urn and he saids it was not suitable for "boiling grain" (his words) and "when used as a urn for water you dont boil water no stop you make it hot 60 degrees or so".
I'd reckon might be ok for HLT only. [/font]

Its an urn.

It has a thermostat to adjust the temp from 30-110. Assuming that is celcius and not fahrenheit (my HLT is in fahrenheit) it will be fine.

As for not boiling water i doubt anyone brews tea or coffee in hot water. It has to be boiling water otherwise by the time you add milk it will be luke warm and 'orrible.

So i think this would be fine to use for the BIAB crowd or as the HLT for the 3V brewers.

I have one of these, holds about 45L as there is a big taper to the inner pot. Will just note that mine is still tinned/silver plated on the inside, which seems to be gone on this one.....

SWMBO is quite fond of 'pretty' beer bottles and we had a bounty of a collection when we lived in our previous location. our living room window sill was lined with a few layers of bottles and also along our kitchin cupboards. As we where moving in with others they had no interest in displaying said bottles. 8 cases of display bottles went straight into the recycling.

Worst of all, disposed over the space of 3 weeks. it was painful for both of us.

Is there anyone out there that would interested in split the purchase and sharing the gear. I'm really only after one of the gas cylinders and a 9 litre keg (or two).

A 3 way split woul be ideal. 1 gas cylinder and 1 keg each (but it will be hard to split up the fridge)
