Hi Stefan, ROs’, where to start? To answer your question first, not exactly but there are issues with cheap Chinese membranes and what they wont stop and how low they can get the ppm. you want your RO to be 1 or 2 ppm max, not 10 or 20 and you want it to stop the ammonia part of any chloramine.

I have one of these its very good, don't rush in, I will give you some RO and you can give it a try I will be in Vic for a week I’l pmu when I get back. Now you will have to read Brun Water and work out what minerals you need (I have them np) or ask here its a very good knowledge base :-}

ps check your water pressure RO units have min operating requirements but.

Looks like I need to upgrade my RO system. I have a PSI countertop RO system which I use for brewing. The filters are getting a bit over 12 months old now and PPM came back at 9 for the batch I did yesterday. Should I be looking at upgrading to the unit you've linked scomet?
