Why is it that Kegerators are regularly posted by scammers? Do they think that Homebrewers are gullible?

Well, I've already bought and the payment says pending. I put a pretty long note in the payment.
Anyway, bought on the credit card, as always. So if this turns sour I'll have to do a chargeback thingo. Am I allowed to keep some toes crossed that it doesn't?!

If you'd done some research here you would see that this is a regular scam. Always the kegerator, always zero feedback.

Facepalm. At least I'm glad I shared and know what to expect now! See if the bank picks it up and blocks it. They have blocked in the past and rung me up, I've been wondering why it said pending when I paid.

last year at xmas some joker was trying the same scam and had them listed (10 available)

someone i know bought all ten (under a new eBay account) ..... and never paid.... lol :)

he might have to go "shopping" again

Nah man, I'd paid before the warning.... Unfortunately. Fortunately, I never ever pay on ebay any way but cc, just in case. And that too with the proper bank cc, the one where they give a shit because they make money off me. I'll update WHEN it resolves....

PS: I see what you mean on a second reading, I only meant I woukdn't have minded a road trip to go check out the shop if it's a proper joint or not... had already paid :( Impulsive twitchy fingers be darned.

If it is still pending get onto your credit card bank right now and get them to put a stop on it. Did you pay through paypal? Put a stop on that payment as well if you can.

Don't take the chance and hope for the best... Your bank should be able to stop this in 5 min if you get on the phone.
