Hipster? NO!. Maybe just look like one, but I had a beard for years at uni in the 80's and it hasn't been absent for too many years in between.
Had a long biker goatee about 10 years ago.

Was once mistaken for the secretary or such of a local outlaw bike club and was asked to relay a message back to the president from the Sergeant-at-Arms of another club, despite protestations and denials of being who he thought I was.
