But cheap if you want a small fermenter for doing test batches.

I think these are a 10 litre fermenter.

$10 at Target Forest Hill.

Picture helps

Great find. These are $69.95 on the Coopers web site.

At $10 its worth it for the hydrometer and PET bottles alone.

Here's a pic from Coopers website showing what you get.

(Note: its a 15 litre fermenter)

Thanks, GrumpyPaul, I just grabbed one of these. Bargain.

Was almost going to grab two but there were only six left. Thought I’d better leave some for others who might be reading this thread.

On arrival I asked two Target staff where the homebrew gear was located and was told both times that they used to sell this stuff but don’t any more. So I guess these fermenter kits are old stock they found out back and decided to dump them for $10 to clear the space. So once they’re gone they’re gone forever at this price.

They are tricky to find in store (Forest Hill in Melb.). Here’s how:

Enter the main entrance then turn left and walk down the main aisle to the far left corner.

Within a few metres of where you’re standing you’ll see a display of tall, slender, black ceramic heaters right on the aisle.

You’ll find the fermenter kits behind this display of heaters.

May not be that old. I think they got heaps of these in around fathers day last year but probably didn't sell that many.

Anyone got one of these MASH TUNS?

Why the two taps?
I have one of those but bigger in height, I got mine for $20.00. The two taps is for multi use cause these units are designed for cold beverage storage for group sports like Soccer etc etc....

Still $35 at my local Target. They like trying to flog dead horses there. They still have beer paddle sets and other stuff from fathers day last year. Even discounted, the paddle sets are still more than full price at Aldi, and the Alid ones are better quality. It seems they would rather just keep random stock then discount it enough to actually sell it.

Show them the picture I posted and ask them to price match

I did this today at the water gardens target - on the shelf with a $35 sign on it. She said they only price match toys but when she scanned the pack it came up at $10. Great find!

Sounds like it's open season at Target.

FYI- I couldn't find any stock at Ringwood Target, just in case people waste a trip.

Someone's making a killing on these things.

They go for a hell of a lot less than that in UK on EBay.

Hmmm, why isn't it me making that 'killing'?

Thanks, went back and checked the price at a price-check point. Sure enough $10 each. The only 2 they had were sitting on a Mr Beer kit so I thought I'd check its price as well - one dollar. A buck is worth it just for the bottles. I may just throw the mr beer machine out but I'm wondering if it would be alright for small batches of aldi juice cider.

Worst thing was carrying the friggin things back to work.
