I've never seen this before- a lock for your beer taps.

As the ad says - keep you kids and neighbours out of your favorite brew..
tap,locks have been around for ages

yes why wouldn't you take the tap off rinse it and put it in the fridge
because not all taps adapter have a seal that closes off the beer line, thus things/bugs etc can crawl in. and its a PITA if you dont have snap locks.

although what makes more sense is to buy a cheap latch and padlock and lock your fridge/freezer after disconnecting the beer lines from the keg. done.
