Dry ring above Krausen

Hi all,

My brew has been fermenting for 9 days and gravity is down to 1012,
There appears to be a dry white ring above the Krausen .
Is this some kind of infection?
I haven’t seen it on any of my other brews.

Nothing worse than a dry ring, usually you will get some residue once the krausen dies down a bit.
