DME is not as fermentable as dextrose/cane sugar and it also takes longer to ferment/prime the bottles. If you use DME you need to wait longer and do some experimentation to figure out the priming levels. If you get some from a different manufacturer it will be marginally different again.

You want simple sugars for the priming imo.
