Has anyone had any experience with Dorado Regs price is right but are they any good

I've had one since Ruddy's stimulus package went out (whenever that was) and I have not had any problems with it at all.

Dorado regs, are they the one supplied with the kegorators lots of people bought?
If so then the over pressure relief valve is very touchy and prone to leaking and emptying your gas bottle.

Don't know about that but well worth keeping in mind probably worth the extra for a better reg

Ahh, now I see the attraction. Dual reg "USA made" for $105 +P&H...

My heart and logic both say Micromatic, yet my wallet wispers Dorado. I am also keen to know if anyone has got one, even though I am too scared to be a guinea pig.

I am also super keen to know the score with these particular items. Almost keen enough to try it. Then again, micromatics have the repair kits and you can get them pre-banked from kegsonline... aaaaargh!

looks like you need a flathead screwdriver to adjust the reg...bugger that.

the decidoing point should be whether it is australian compliant. if its not thn you know why its cheap.

Fents - just tie a screw driver to the reg and your laughing. although its a bit of a PITA

harris is just as good as micromatic and slightly cheaper.

I've not sighted these regs, but I did purchase a cheapie Keg King regulator off eBay a couple of months ago; just for party kegs and process work in the brewery attached to a SodaStream cylinder.

It cost me $70 delivered or similar and includes a little ball valve on the output, so on the surface, not a bad thing.

It looks like (and was described in the eBay blurb) as being a Micromatic made for Keg King. I don't know if that is true or not.

It is a cheap regulator. Every time you touch it, it screams back at you 'Cheap!'. Instead of the nice, fluid feel of the knob on my Micromatic reg, this thing rasps and catches and makes me wonder about the quality each time I fiddle with it. Many will tell you that I fiddle with it too often. I wouldn't be attaching it to my big gas bottle for fear of things turning bad.

Is a Keg King regulator a Dorado regulator? Probably not, but I can/will say that there is a definite difference between cheap regs and 'proper' ones and you should consider that before purchase.

decided on just going single stage reg.... so I bought a Micromatic which are rebuildable..... which is good as I drowned it in the 1st five minutes

I ended up getting a pre-banked micro from kegsonline.com.au simply for the maintenance factor. I must say that I was tempted by the taprite, they seem pretty common in the US.

I couldn't find much info on em which is why I stayed clear..... so far the single stage is ok..... but it's only been a few days!!

Good thing is I can bank the Micromatic myself if I ever need to

I got a single DORADO[marked WESTBURY]off fleabay and if its "made in USA"I'll walk to CHINA naked,very cheap and crappy,but for $61.00 del its ok for my spraybottle party keg,just dont rely on them not to leak and empty your CO2 if you leave it conected

I got an answer back from kegsonline that they are fitted out for AUS, so I thought it was a goer. I know from Vitalstatistix's experience that they are not totally straight-forward to bank yourself if you don't have a proper workshop.
