how many are you after?

the typical big box is 10000 or so. that should do you for about 10-15 years if your still brewing

At the moment I'm paying $8 for 250 for a variety of colours at brewers choice. Surprised that I can't see anything like this at craft brewer.

About $2.20 for 120 caps at Big W..plain and cheap.
A mate had a big bag of black caps given to him, we used them on a brew we did recently, they look pretty flash.

you can get bulk lots on ebay occasionally.

If I am bottling I like to use different colour caps, brewers choice sounds good for that, I should check them out.

I may have not been clear. they have a variety of colours. Each 250 pack is the one colour though.
They have red, black, white, gold, green and maybe one other? not too sure

Funny thing. Brewcraft have the gold crown seals advertised at $172:95 for 10,000 and $175:00 for 8,500.

The coloured caps in black, red and green $401:25 for 10,000. That's a pretty big price difference just for the colours. Wonder why that is. Do agree the colours look pretty good.

If, like I do, you use the lid to identify each brew, watch out for coloured and/or patterned lids that will make it difficult to read any kind of code you write on there. A buddy of mine got a cheap deal on some dark red lids with a black crown on them, and gave me a sample of three of his brews, but I couldn't make out which beer was which as the lid code blended in with the pattern!

this is a bit off topic but I picked up a pack of 3300 sticky labels on A4 sheets from officeworks which when cut in half fit nicely on a bottle cap.
I use microsoft word to print beer name, date of brew and %abv onto the labels then stick them onto the beer cap, no need for different coloured caps or to hand write tiny abbreviations on the caps and eliminates all confusion when you've got 8 plus different beers bottled under your stairs like i do.

I've discovered that Plasdene do coloured caps at approximately $252 for 10,000 if anyone is looking for them and is unable to find them cheaper. They have an outlet in most states.
