I've just returned home from Kiwi Land and while I was away did a tour through the Speights Brewery in Dunedin.
One of their seasonal beers at the moment is called Summer Harvest. This is a wheat beer with a very strong apricot flavour. (I would say very strong, because I had a severe head cold that day, could not get any smell from the Hops room, but definitely got the aprocot taste from this brew)
I was not able to find anything else about this brew from the Speights website. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about cloning this beer?
I'm thinking at this stage an unhopped wheat malt, potentially apricot essense and thats as far as my thoughts have gone.
What hops should I be using and also what yeast?
