Hi,

I am trying to locate a cheap Brew pot, I think i will try Kongs in north bridge i saw that on a old post (2007)apparently they sell quite large and cheap pots..

Does anyone know if they still do or have any better ideas on where to buy one?
My budget is gonna be about 50/60 bucks and i am looking for about 50l in size.

Thanks

You could likely pick up a used 50 stainless keg from one of the usual suspects for that. A hour with the 4" grinder and a handful of discs and you've got a piece of kit that will outlast your liver.
Another 20 bucks will get you a weldless bulkhead and ball valve and away you go.
Cheap pots are horrible bits of wort scorching ****.

Ok cool,

the seems like sound advice....

What is a weldless bulk head? I had already priced up a thermometer and a 3 piece ball valve for the pot..

Cheers bud.

Essentially a weldless/threaded fitting for the ball valve to screw on to, rather than needing to weld the valve on.

This. I'd imagine you need to take care not to overtighten it and squish the o rings out the side of the washer / flange.
