Hi, I only really drink Carlton Draught when I'm in @ the pub/club.

Anyone managed to perfect a similar sweet taste?

You could try the Coopers Traditional Draught (Premium Selection)....also have a look on:

Really? dry hop with POR,must taste a little of lawn mower clippings

You want the bitterness so IMO you would need to add them to a boil, but I've never dry hopped with POR (never going to either  )

no, its not a good idea - especially those horrible little tea bags! Yeech.

Morgans draught is a good replica of CUB Draught IMO.

my last batch, i used morgan's draught with 500grm dex & 500grm liquid malt extract
7 days primary, bottled 1month at 18 deg, refigerated at 6 deg for 2 weeks
it was pretty close
might try with POR in a boil next time

hope this helps

I've dry hopped a Pale Ale with POR and tastes quite nice. Not sure what lawn clippings taste like, i tend to throw it on the garden rather than lunching on the stuff...... :p

But i must admit that was before i read all those on this forum saying it was a no no and since i have discovered cascade and amarillo, there aint no going back! :D

Cheers
