I'm posting here because I want to start a new topic in "Announcements and Support" regarding a possible hack to the forum that's annoying me, but the New Topic button is greyed out for me with the message "You cannot start a new topic".

As you can see, no problem with the other threads.

I'll post here anyway. On doing an external search through Google, for example Google - Aussie Home Brewer Candi Syrup, it brings up a page of matching links, and when I click on a link I go to the appropriated AHB page.
Then almost immediately I get whisked off to this page:

weird page ahb search.jpg

This only happens once, if I go back and click on link again I get to the AHB page with no hijack.

1. Why can't I start a new topic
2. What's the weird page.

Don't know myself, but I've flagged this thread for admin/mod attention.

Is more than likely a group permission setting. Currently packing house will have a look when i can, hopefully tonight.
2. Looks like a search phish or trojan that has probably hidden itself on your pc? Does it happen on your tablet/phone?

I've done a scan with Malwarebytes Premium and AVG that I both pay for, no results. And it's only been happening on an AHB external search via Google, never on any other site. I'll do a few searches on identical terms within AHB then externally and see what happens.

I'm getting the same thing from external google searches

I get the same thing. Mac with Safari.
I'll try the laptop

Windows laptop with Firefox does the same thing.

Another Mac with Safari - pretty sure that Benn posted similar prob with his smartphone a few days ago

Just to confirm, everyone is talking about the dodgy page?

The new topic thing is definitely an AHB setting prob.

Apparently it was a "permission" setting for BribieG.
AndrewQLD has fixed it.
