Can you identify this nightime sound coming from the reserve?

Thanks to everyone who replied to my last request re a bird call at dusk (the jury is still out on that one) :)

This one mystifies me as it's obviously not a bird because the sound only comes at night, just before midnight and afterwards (When I'm having my best brew, and no I'm not imaging it) :chug:

It's a very 'wooden' sort of 'clack clack' sound coming directly from the reserve out the back. It goes on continuously for a couple of hours and sounds a bit like two halves of a very big coconut shell been struck together.

Sound file attached, take a listen if you have time - I'd love to know what creature makes this noise.

Thanks in advance :D

Definitely bunyip. Greater Ruffed Bunyip to be precise.

Actually it's reminiscent of some frog sounds, but I can't be more accurate than that. The fact that it goes on for hours suggests frog to me as well.
