Hey guys,

I am looking for a few quality "Bucks Party" suggestions.

It will be in Sydney and we don't want to do the traditional unorganised pub crawl filled with bad beer that ends up at some dodgy strip joint in the cross.

We are more interested in something like a private micro/craft brewery tour and beer tasting or sitting down to a meal where speciality beers are matched to quality food etc.

Has any one got any ideas or links in this regard or know of any of these kind of these events comming up in the next month.

Cheers

Hire a minibus & head up to Potters in the Hunter. There is accomodation onsite & good beers.

The king George the 4th in Picton might also be worth a call to see if they do anything.

with enough numbers, and warning you might be able to organise a one off tour with any number of the micros in sydney

eg
readoak, james squires, lord nelson, schwartz.

does barons have a pub in the city?

You could always head to The Australian in the Rocks and (depending upon numbers) have a crack at knocking off one of each beer sold - about 100 at last count. They also do quite a nice range of pizzas for food.

Three suggestions
1. look up the thread for last years AHB pub crawl through Balmain. A great time with great beer.
2. the James squire/malt shovel brewery in camperdown was a good tour (with finger food to match the beers)
3. Macquarie Hotel - Thai food upstairs/Schwarz brewery downstairs.
4. Break up into small groups for crawling thru the rocks. Last time we crawled thru, the bouncers were radioing ahead, mumbling "bucks party coming thru. Lockdown".

Thanks petesbrew,
Point #4 is certainly something we will take on board when we get mobile. I had not thought of that. Good heads up.
