Hi All,
Given the water restriction up here in Brissy, quite a few of us have put in tanks. Whilst not 100% brewing related, I've been looking at getting an automatic pump for my tanks - of course this means I could use the water for brewing!
Pumps are damn expensive, so I have been looking at buying in bulk - chinese imports.
What I have come up with is:
240v, pre wired pump
Stainless steel impeller housing (i.e. no rust!)
Bronze impeller (not plastic)
Electronic Automatic operation - turns on when tap turns on, turns off when tap turns off
Electronic Dry run protection - no motor burnout
Self priming
Max suction (distance it will suck from), 9m
Max head (height it will pump to), 30m (300kpa)
Max flow rate, 50L/min
300 watts (0.4 HP) @ 2.8A
rated for continuous duty opperation
IP44 weatherproof
These retail around $359-$399, but if I get ten I can get them landed in Brisbane for around $200 each.
Anyone interested? I'm not interested in shipping these around, it would be pick up from my place, Ipswich - we'd have to do a brew day
