just wondering how users design a recipe with ale malt, this is not in the drop down but i have been assuming it would be"american 2 row"
as the ingredient? so far this has worked ok but not sure it's correct.
looks like you can add grains to the data base but need all the tech specs to do so such as potential yield, colour,etc.

I added grains to data base and used the info on the Craftbrewer website to fill in the specs.

Either enter the specs obtained from Craftbrewer or pick the closest malt on the list e.g. Pale malt or Pale Ale malt. I've always considered American 2-row as similar to Pilsner malt, just not as strong in flavour.
