A family owned small business providing assistance to customers in the Macarthur area in making their own beer using a commercial brewing facility.

Our goal is to assist you in enjoying the best quality beer of your choice whilst saving you lots of money in the process.

We provide all the facilities, equipment and ingredients needed for every step of the beer making process. We also supply bottle caps and bottle washing facilities free of charge.

Also available from us are party keg hire, home keg systems and personalised beer labelling for those special occasions.

another one...they're an ok idea for a gimmick or outing with the mates or something, but they always seem to go out of business!

Can't I just buy the beer from you?

Due to current legal requirements you have to take part in the process (don't worry it's fun). Our staff will be there to help through the process.

Interesting

What I want to know is where does the equipment go when they go out of business?

Where you you pick up second hand commercial brewery equipment ?

How much does it go for ?

they have

631 OLD POINT ALE 7.3%
BREWERY NOTE: If you like drinking Old Peculiar.
STYLE: Dark brown colored, medium bodied strong ale.
FLAVOUR: High bitterness, medium hop flavor, medium hop aroma

I think us at MALE might have to start copyrighting our beer names

They've come up with

Razorback Ale and a
Fishers Ghost Ale that sounds a little similar to these Linz and I made a few years back

G'day Franko,

Mate, I thought the same thing. I thought it must be Linz's business venture with those names.

Cheers,
Jase

Are we just rapping knuckles or are we bringing back fingers? :beerbang:

anyone got a horse I can borrow a head from??(without the flu!!)

or a Sicilian neck tie....

May be worth it finding out what their labels look like...

Then if they match, and none of the label designers/owners are involved, you can sue.

Then they will go out of business.

Then they will sell their brewing equipment to us.

Then the profit will go to the label designers/owners.

Then they will donate excess funds to AHB.

Who could possibly get hurt?

That plan sounds suspiciously like litigious behaviour that would hardly make anyone shake in their boots. I prefer the bringing home fingers plan :)

Their names are a bit fishy, but unless you have trademarked them, then you have no leg to stand on unfortunately. Unless of course they are using someone's artwork without permission, then send them a "cease and desist".

Have a look at the Ugg Boot debacle. Some American upstarts realised that the "Ugg Boot" name had never been trademarked, so they did and forced the original Ugg Boot guys to stop using their own name.

Hello from The Beer Shed.
It seems our small brew on premises has generated some interest from you all on this chat room. Our aim is to enable all to enjoy the process of brewing your own beer, not just home brew enthusiasts. We are a small family run business trying something new. You are all welcome to come down and have a look or call in to say hello and I will show you through the brewery. I have been a home brewer for the past 15 years so I know the enjoyment of making your own great beer at home. We are not trying to capture the home brewers market but are trying to share great quality beer with the wider community. If you do have any questions or want to get in touch with us give me a call on (02) 4628 BEER (2337) or email at [email protected]. or drop by for a sample.

Cheers
Tim

So Beer Shed, a question, what about those two beer names you lifted??

Hi Maxt,

Pure coincidence as I was naming some of our beers after prominent local icons in the Macarthur Area. If you are familiar with the area both are well known locally.

Cheers
Tim - The Beer Shed.

best of luck beer shed/tim.

anyone who tries to get the word out that beer comes in more than two varieties (draught and premium) deserves some credit. and teaching the brewing process is just about the best way there is. cheers.

This idea was popular in Vancouver when I was there 10+ years ago. I'm not sure if its still the case.
The customer had to add the yeast to make it legal. :)
