Hi guys

I had 1 liter of yorkshire yeast that i had just finished cleaning and had racked off the water. and i couldn't help but take a photo of its beauty.

I knew that no one else i showed would appreciate it so i had to post it up here.

also a pic of my dog, he's world revolves around his yellow ball, nothing else matters. (he was sitting there while i was drooling over yeast)

feel free now to post other brew related pics hat get you going but you'd get the same look from the uneducated as when you open a fresh pack of hops and tell your missus she should smell it too.

Mine is the HERMS coil, contained in a 20lt urn

im guessing its a heat exchanger vice.

basically its just a pot with a coil inside, you put water in the pot and warm it up and then you can run wort through the coil which is submersed in hot water and it heats the wort up...it keeps temps stable and also gives you clear wort cause your recirculating as well...

also you can use it to ramp up temps of your mash....so say from 66c to 78c for a mash out...

at least i think thats how it all works.
