I have had an Amber Ale down in the fermenter for 6 days now. Its nothing fancy, a concentrate kit from Brewcraft. After 6 days the reading haqs gone from 1052 down to 1048. Looks to me as if its not fermenting.

Can i just put fresh yeast in to get it started?

Can't lose. It isn't getting anywhere at the moment. What temp and yeast

mmm....6 days.....I would taste it first

Going that long runs a very big risk of it going infected.

A good strong early ferment helps to stop bacteria taking over

It was US05 yeast and been sitting at 22 degrees consistently.

Smelt and tastes OK.

I had a packet of Coopers Ale yeast laying around so i have put that in. I figure if its a dodgy brew I wont loose anything by trying.
