If all else fails I cruise the recycling depots on a Friday and Saturday morning - some people are kind enough to drop of cases of bottles in their cases, not rinsed or anything but I don't complain

How many do you need. I have several cartons of stubbies which have been literally gathering dust in the shed for several years. Its dust and cobwebs not dead beer dregs so should clean OK.
Price would reflect condition - free.

Other alternatives:

1. Ask at friends parties
2. Ask friends who drink to keep aside for you
3. Buy a carton and enjoy its contents! then keep the empties (if $$$ allow)
