I haven't read anything anywhere about this, but I was just wondering, does anyone ever brew with a blend of two or more different yeast strains?

I know some commercial brewers use a different yeast in the conditioning phase to the primary ferment, but do any homebrewers use blended yeasts?

You might do it as damage control if you got a stuck ferment and decided to introduce fresh yeast to finish the job and chucked in whatever you happened to have in your frig, but would you do it deliberately, seeking a special effect?

just wondering...

Good Day
A mate of mine has made many beers with different yeasts (eg wheat and british ale). The results are fairly unpredictable because one yeast can dominate or not. All his beers were good and interesting but hard to catagorise at times.
Work out what you are aiming for and have a go, the worst you will do is brew something that is interesting, maybe too interesting.
