I haven't read anything anywhere about this, but I was just wondering, does anyone ever brew with a blend of two or more different yeast strains?
I know some commercial brewers use a different yeast in the conditioning phase to the primary ferment, but do any homebrewers use blended yeasts?
You might do it as damage control if you got a stuck ferment and decided to introduce fresh yeast to finish the job and chucked in whatever you happened to have in your frig, but would you do it deliberately, seeking a special effect?
just wondering...
