My last 3 brews have been some of my best, can't quite put a finger on why. My AG method hasn't changed since day 1, same old esky and braid, same fermentors, same kettle. No changes in sanitation, in fact I've even been lazy on cleaning bottles!

#1 - English Bitter, under grained and poor efficiency resulted in a 3.6% english bitter, very simple ale/crystal/choc and goldings. An absolute quaffer, still surprised by the body of a "light" beer, plenty of flavour and wonderful goldings flavour and aroma all the way through. Everyone who has tried this has commented on it being very drinkable. No one picked it as light, albeit these aren't beer afficiandoes

#2 - Amber Ale, trying to recreate my dads fave beer from Aldi, ale/munich/crystal/choc and green bullet for bitter/aroma/dry. 2 weeks in bottle and it's a ripper. 5.7%, chunk body, strong head, mega malty, a touch too hoppy (us-05) but should settle with time. mmmmm!!

#3 - Hefe, 50/50 pils/wheat and 500g Aldi (notice a theme here!) Wheat Bix. Talk about concrete sparge!!! resorted to WB-06 and boy did the fridge smell like banana... 7 days @ 18C and my first taste is ... yes... YUM! cloudy as a wit, full of banana, not much clove, sweet, refreshing... superb, can't wait to get this into the bottle.

Now to decide which one to use for the Vic swap....
