Hey all,
Well I have just bought and downloaded the new beertools pro software.
The Help file does not seem to be working. Does anyone know how to get the cost up for the batch your brewing or anyone have the help file handy

Cheers Archie

Didn't look for help in the release version today when I downloaded and tested. Just opened a few Promash recipes etc.

However there is an online Help Forum for it. Not sure if it is open to all users, but assuming you have a BeerTools Forum account and the forum is public, here is the link

Beers,
Doc

Archie,

I saw in the forum that the Help viewer is fixed in your version of beertoolpro. You need to download it again. As for the cost per batch...you need to assign money values to your ingredients...they seem to be blank by default.

Nice to have BTP as a new choice...turned out very nice.

Gold Service is access to the improved (more features) part of the ONLINE beertools website. I found it extremely useful for recipe formulation. It will still be handy for me - regardless of BeerTools Pro - when trying out recipes for brews that you have no experience with, as the recipe generator can help guide you in choosing the correct ingredients to use. (BTP does this too, but you have to keep resorting to the style guideline menu whereas the online version tends to restrict your choices to the prefered ingredients - actually a lot more handy than it sounds :p )

I downloaded my copy of it yesterday, but having been a part of the beta and becoming quite familiar with the program over the last several months, there was only one "surprise" in store for me - Thanks Jeff!

cheers shot duck thats what i thought, i'll have to download it when i get home tonight

Quick question, is Beer Tools worth getting if you're still doing kit's (with additions of course)?

i'v used the online version befor for kits i don't see why the downloadable version should not support it, i have not tryed it yet tho so can't really answer your question

Some more help would be great i am trying to find out were in the program i can see what my cost is per batch but i cant seem to find out where it is, i have added all my cost per kg in there

If you click the analysis tab at the bottom of the screen you will see the cost field there.

Is this programme an improvement over the current software available? It would need to be pretty impressive for me to switch from Beersmith, which seems to have everything I need.
What features if any, would be likely to make one switch?

cheers Ross
