Dragonhead Stout (4%ABV)

Appearance - Black (SRM 40+)
Nose - Milk chocolate. Sweet espresso.
Palate - Significant herbal hop character. Nutty. Chocolate. Roasted notes are present, but the chocolate dominates. Substantial bitterness (~40-50 IBU)
Finish - Dry. Short.

Very similar to an Irish stout, dry and very drinkable, but with a little more hop character and malt complexity than most examples of the style. Overall, quite drinkable.

Score: 6.5/10

Not heard of this one. local or imported?

Imported from Scotland. Orkney Brewery.

tried it BC? Orkney .. assume from the island? Low alcohol, high IBUs .. a touch unbalanced I'm thinking without knowing (thinking high IBU not a recognised Scottish trait).
