Hi Folks,
as my beer fridge is outside, I didn't want to use my cellis until I had a better set up, but today, being marooned at home thanks to car troubles, I though bugger it, and here is the results

cellis.JPG

I must say, the pour is quite different from the bronco taps I am used to, the broncos just seem to dump the beer into the glass quickly without too much head, but the cellis seem to create a lot more head than the broncos. Making the beer flatter. I guess it is something I'll have to get used to. I have to say that the bling factor is huge, the mates will be impressed. The shot shows the maiden pour of an aussie cluster UPA.

cheers

looks great....juut need to respray that crappy old fridge to compliment them ;)

Looks very swish, those gold taps spell Class. What do you think of the Cluster?

Cheers
Andrew

They look great Tony :super:

Just slow the pour slightly with the restrictors if pouring too heady - then push back on the handle to pour foam if you want it.

Steve, believe me that that pic shows the fridge at its best, it is covered in touch ups with cold gal to fix outbreaks of rust. One day I shall spray it (hmmm... brew beer? spray beer fridge?) Andrew, I reckon Cluster is great in an aussie ale, nothing like a fourex though. I used 65g in the boil and 25 for dryhopping. It turned out quite "unoffensive". Yet to test it on a megaswiller though.

Looks great Browndog. Nothing like an unexpected free day to get things done.

Looking forward to testing them out ;)

Sweet! Just think how much easier it is not to have to open the door all the time.
(Hope the car repairs aren't as costly as mine :( )

they look good browndog.. what are Bronco's are they the plastic tubing and little plastic thumb tap type thing.? i'm sure it wont take you long to sort out the pressure/pouring issues.
you should post your photo in the kegging setup thread too.

BD,

Taps look great. Hope the Mrs. approves or else you could be in real trouble 8(.

cheers

Mum's the word Darren.
They sure do look nice Browndog.
Worth the investment!

Broncos, those little plastic taps, that's their name right? I've been collecting them for quite a while so the Dragon knew I had them and she said nothing when she saw me fitting them today, so that is always a good thing. The flow restrictor should come in handy when I fill the bottles for my case swap on friday. I can't get over how much easier life is without having to open the fridge door to pour a beer ;)

cheers

Browndog, I like you have just installed the Celli taps but for me these were the final pieces to my kegging parts gathering journey.

This afternoon, I pulled my very first beers from the new set up and unlike a lot of other newby's I had success first up. I kid you not. No foaming. No flatness. No spitting. No leaks. :D

I scrounged most necessary parts from ebay or online stores where parts were on sale but when it came to the taps I contacted Ross and spent the good money on the Celli taps. Will post pics soon.

Anyway, time for another beer. Life cannot get much better.

Cheers

Well done Dave,
You just can't beat that feeling of satisfaction when you pour a great tasting beer that you have made from one of those beautiful taps.

cheers
