Beer Calories

Ever since I switched to AG my missus has been scoffing it down. Her new years resolution (again) is to lose weight.

Anyway she has been bugging me to tell her how many calories in my beer? I have absolutely no idea, so I was hopeing someone here at AHB may have a formulae or similar for working it out.

Generally speaking, beer has less calories than wine. Of course you tend to drink a greater volume of beer.

FYI - Beer Tools Pro includes a calorie counter.

Hi Snagler, just looking back through my recipes in Beersmith. I'm sure there's an exact formula, but it appears that for every 1%ABV, it is about 100 calories per liter. So a 6% beer is 600ish calories/L.

I try not to think about it!
