I was talking to my manager, asking him to cut in sanitising solution, since the cascade spicy ghost cans are being deleted. He asked whether the baby sanitising solution would be good to use for the pruposes of sanitation. I said I didn't know... so... is it good for that use??

OK if youv'e got a baby

If its Milton that you're meaning, unscented Bleach imo will do the same job for half the cost.

supposedly the difference between the two is Milton is a no-rinse in the right concentration.

i could be wrong though.

Generally you don't sanitise babies.

Was he talking about milton solution (glorified bleach) or napisan?

Lately I've been using Home Brand Nappy Treatment Plus for sanitizing everything. I use about 3/4 laundry powder scoopful in fermenter, then fill with water. 1/2 scoop would be enough.

When sanitizing bottles, I use the same amount in the laundry sink.

It dissolves completely without stirring. I used to use White King, but this stuff is easier on hands, and works good & rinses easy. Cheap too.

Here's a picture of a batch of bottles soaking in it yesterday.

If I used no-rinse sanitizer, I think I'd rinse it.

Edited because of double post

Is the Homebrand Nappy treatment of the same quality as Napisan in your oppinion and what size does it come in?

They are all the same, look for the one with the highest percentage of sodium percarbonate which is the active component. A quick search will also bring up heaps of threads on this.

You do if you're making baby oil! :D

Anyway, I decided to use Iodophor instead anyway, it sounds like a useful senitiser
