Auberins Pid

G'day,

It might be that I need to get something like an Auberins PID one day
but has anyone considered using a Tempmate to control a heating
element in a kettle?

Hmmm ... looks like more learning for me. If it isn't obvious, I'm as new to
AG as can be (haven't done one yet) but I am planning on a 2 vessel system
- if I may draw attention to it HERE. Incidentally, the article giving inspiration
for my plans makes use of a PID controller.

... ok, had a quick read up on rolling boil. I guess I had been thinking of using
a Tempmate more for the getting mash water up to strike temperature - ie. get
it there and stay there if I need to do something else momentarily. Perhaps a bit
of hands on monitoring of boil temp and Tempmate setting could then maintain a
rolling boil, before looking at a PID further down the track.
