Evenin all, was just catching up on some reading as I sit here in Thailand swinging gently away in my hammok, Im reading The Big Book of Brewing by Dave Line, I found the following recipe

"Amber Ale"

Recipe for 5 gallons of Bitter Beer
7 lb crushed pale malt
1 lb demerara sugar
1 desert spoon of gravy browning
3.5 oz Goldings Hops
Beer yeast

what the

I guess it would go well with a roast

I've always thought a little bit of flavour enhancer 635 would go down well in a porter.

Taking a brewing book on holiday - that's just teasing yourself.
Have a mai tai for me.

That recipe sounds like it was written by my mother in law. She buys gravox in bulk and adds it to everything.
