Hi guys,
Just wondering what ale yeast could give lager characteristics (wlp 029 maybe) for doing some test brews for this years mash paddle.
I don't have a fermentation fridge yet and it's still too warm for lager yeasts here.
Thanks.

I used the 029 a far bit before I got a ferm fridge to do pseudo lagers.

You still want to keep it cool, down at 16 or 17deg. definitely not 20.

So you can use it well outside of a fridge during the winter months.
