Barley Bomber
Hey there competition people, I went to enter my Dämpfbier in a competition in the last few days and discovered that the category (SPECIALTY - OTHER) that was successful for me last year no longer exists, so I had to scrabble for another.
Historical beer would be appropriate but the Guidelines are limited to beer styles that I have (mostly) never seen, heard of, or tasted, and definitely never brewed, such as Kentucky Common and Leichtenhainer (Darn, another style to test), and do not include my chosen style.
I eventually went for the Specialty - Clone beer category, to allow me to enter a beer of the style, but not necessarily a copy of any specific beer.
Challenges of being at the cutting edge, or punishment for not conforming?
Thoughts, feedback, props?
