hi all,

had good results in bo pils with 2124 before but i dont filter and the low floc is not for me.

just wondering if anyone has used 2001 and 2278 that could give me some advice / pros/ cons of either strain.

any input appreciated.

cheers

I've used the 2278 czech yeast a few times now. Very clean strain - my beers come out very clear as well, seems to flocc just fine. finishes nice and crisp as well, find 12 deg is a good temp and ramp up at end, slow cool over a few days to 4 deg (if that's not too hard) and the yeast drops nicely. Can't comment on 2001 - yet.

I've used 2278 with good results (similiar method to Maple) and I know blokes who get good results from 2001 but I haven't used it myself.
