I've got some (courtesy of Dr Smurto who recently split a smack pack with me)

I've got some left after I made a starter if you want some of that? I guess one good turn deserves another!

Best to pop a beer into the esky once the yeast comes out Fergi :icon_cheers:

(I have a few slants on 1469 too atm if need be and you are confident in stepping them up).

GOT MY 1469 YEAST fermenting away in a 2 liter fowlers jar.
boiled 2liters water with 200 grms dried malt, cooled ,then tossed in the yeast.
its working away now really well, when i toss it into my screwys red ale, is it best to turf out the wort on top of the yeast and just use the remaining yeast that has settled to the bottom. will this be enough for my 21 liter red ale brew.

To be honest mate....I'm not really sure. This was the first time I've done this too.

I posted a thread about a Yeast Starter asking some of this stuff and whether I pitched too much yeast.

I mixed mine up, incorporating the bits that had settled to the bottom as I wasn't sure whether this was needed or not....thought it couldn't hurt.

I reckon you'll have enough by the sounds of it.

Mine bubbled away for two days then when I got home tonight the high Kraussen had actually bubbled through my airlock, it got very active....so maybe i had too much.

Hope yours goes well.

Either add it in while active as you have done, or wait till its fermented out, cool, pour off the beer ontop then pitch the remaining yeast.

Either way you should be fine, and there should be plenty of yeast in there if it was from another portion of slurry.
