Sounds like I missed out on a great swap day! Looking forward to trying everyone's brews when I pick them up later this week! My Robust Porter (3) is ready to go, the bottles feel a bit over carbed (so be careful ^_^ , lol).

    Wheat Beer Recipes

+ 1 for drinking the wheat beer within a month. I've made 2 wheat beers, both were fantastic for the first few weeks then declined rapidly in several respects after that. They were still drinkable but nothing compared to how they had tasted earlier!

    Cascade First Harvest

Hey Wdrummond, I'd suggest that you attempt an all grain 'american pale ale' as your first brew. Although not exactly the same as the cascade first harvest, its not that different, and I think a great first ag brew. I think you'l enjoy the cascade hops! Good luck Cheers,

    Kegerator Query

Hey, Looks good to me, I'm not really sure if its good or bad value?? It would be easier than setting one up yourself (very helpful for me), and it has a one year warranty. I've been looking at getting one of these too, I havn't heard anything negative about them yet..?

Vic Xmas In July 2008 Tasting Thread

I agree with whats been said about Fents Lager, I loved it! I thought the sulphor was a bit too much, and I definitely got a slight pale belgian aroma thing happening, but the taste was great and well rounded, good job! It inspired me to make my first all grain lager yesterday, its an...

    Lemon Tang To Wheat Beer

It may be a combo of a few things! Amarillo hops gave off lemon/citrus aroma and flavour in a pale ale I brewed once. It could be the also be the particular yeast you brewed with, at that temperature, or a combo of the two. It could also possibly be the bottles? Some reused pet bottles could...
