I've just put on a lager with this yeast and unfortunately the temp is around 25°c. Do you think it'll still be drinkable at this temp? What are the flavours like at these temps?

Yes it's a good idea. I've thought about it but I was worried that the vitamin c would act as a preservative and might have some effect on the yeast. But always worth a try, that's how things get discovered

No, I've never sanitised it. Just washed the orange. I guess it's like hops, they're both antibacterial. If you're worried, you could add the peel at flameout

Hey guys. After brewing multiple different cans. Cooper's APA has become a favorite. I'm just wondering what's everyone's favorite finishing hop? And/or favorite yeast?

Just interested to know why you need to add so much yeast for a stronger brew? Shouldn't the excess sugar just make the yeast start working faster?

Thanks for the info . yes I used briess. I ended up using a mix of 75% dry Amber malt and 25% dry Pilsen malt and it was about 1kg total, so I'm guessing I'll get something around 4.6%

Some homebrew shops sell dried bitter orange peel, also Asian grocery stores. But honestly, I prefer just fresh orange peel

Actually if you drink distilled or de-ionised water the lack of ions and negative ions will strip out the positive ions.
