    Whats In The Glass

    Newguy, what hops did you use in the ALT? I did a case swap ALT Last yeay and I used all Spalt Hops. Initially very spicy which mallowed. Definately an acquired taste early on. Not all bad, but........I don't know if I would do it again. I think I will try the Tetnang when I do another.

    March Pump Problem

    Well there you go. I was thinking it might have been cavitation from air that had been drawn in also. At some stage didn't you say that the problem only occured when pumping the water? Never a problem when pumping hot wort? I may have misheard you however when we chatted about it.

    Andrew, I noticed with your rig that you are actually feeding from the bottom of the pump. Do you notice any issues with getting the pump to start drawing water/wort from the lines or do you notice any issues with cavitation of the pump? Cheers, Head

    Ginger Beer Recipe - Scratch Brew No Kit

    I have not tried this myself but I am tempted to try Galangal in a ginger beer. Have tried it raw before and it has a very hot bite for a ginger. Should be able to pick it up in woolies fresh these days.
