    Finings And Hop Residue

    Hi, I am brewing a Coopers IPA that I hopped with boiled EKG pellets (45g) and dry hopped with fuggles (40g). Does anybody know if gelatin finings or any other sort of finings will settle the hop residue. I think that finings will only settle very very small particulates but I am not sure.

    Empty Bottles Fast!

    I just figured this out but it is probably well known in the home brewing faternity. When emptying long necks hold the upturned bottle vertical and swirl it quickly clockwise. You will easily create a whirlpool. A bottle with a whirlpool will empty faster than one without. Try it!

    Sweet Stella

    I had a Stella Artois on the weekend. It was OK but to my palate it had a sickly sweet taste. Has anybody else noted this in a beer? If I was not dreaming how did they do it?

    Apple/pineapple Cider
