    Boil

I see no problems with this.. Same as doing a 7 litre or so extract boil... As long as you boil both for full time...

    Increasing BIAB efficiency.

Yes I have done brews with and without and found no real gain. I do however do a mash out and as you say turn on the heat and pull the bag as it passes the mashout temp. Most times throw in the first hops after I raise the bag as a kinda FWH.. Cheers

    First time bulk priming question

When I bulk prime I add Dex to boiling water from the kettle in a pyrex jug. 400ml to 130g dex for 23L Edit. This mix is added to a second vessel and the beer racked on to it,,, Not added to the primary.

    Increasing BIAB efficiency.

Sometimes I feel we as brewers over think the process. This can cause us to tinker to much. I have a friend who just throws stuff together no spreadsheets or software. Just guesses. He makes some great beers. So I guess I'm saying if you do something in your process ask yourself do I need to do...

    Increasing BIAB efficiency.

Why would you do this. I mash in cover with some old towels and zip the urn into a old sleeping bag and thats it till mash out..

I would have drawn off a few litres before I put it in the fermenter and done a boil with it. Hope it turns awsome for you.

    Tether: END OF - BIAB

Will Mate I'm not a seasoned beer maker but will pop my 2 cents in. I have made 20 so BIAB no chill brews. The recipe you posted has only base malt and wheat. You have no sweetness to off set the hops. Add say 200g of BB caramalt. I say this as I have been trying to find balance in my beers...

silicone hose for birko urn tap

Cut the 12mm cleanly with a sharp knife and be careful with some long nose pliers it will fit. I have it on my crown tap. Once on never remove it. Place it in the top handle when brewing to stop lose if the tap is accidentally turned on. Cheers

    Two Birds Sunset Ale Clone

I just bottled something close to this,Bit lighter. Out of the fermenter it tasted great. I to would cut back on the crystal but that is to late now. But it should be a good drop anyway.. Cheers

    Fermenting fridge STC failed...

I use a old lid rubber around the fermenter with the probe under a sock against the wall of the fermenter. This stops the fridge cycling to much and cools the wort faster. Cheers

Noob mistake - 1 carbo drop instead of 2

Always found that one carb drop in a tallie was enough. Some would say 2. Anyway what is done is done. Leave them for a few weeks and see how they turn out Cheers

    My First AG

I top up any short falls when first put in the fermenter. I would think it is done and would only make 1012 if it was full volume. CCing will help clear it and condition it a bit too. Cheers

    Balancing beer flavours

Great link. I use Brew mate and it has a balance value but don't know how to use it. Most of my beers are PA I know my yeasts and grain mash ( OG and FG ) . I am playing with bits and pieces. Would be nice to have a bit more hit than miss when making up recipes. Cheers
