The brew bucket looks ideal in terms of shape and design for shipping. Really happy to see a competitive alternative to expensive conical fermenters.... Although I'd still see myself buying a conical if I had the spare cash just for the snob and bling factor :P

Completely agree with Yob. Adding some hops for flavour and/or aroma is still keeping it simple. Just remember temperature control, clean + sanitise everything your using and don't touch the beer once it starts fermenting until it's done All the best!

I went for the 6kg bottle to avoid having to refill it more regularly. I did have a gas leak with my first bottle and lost the lot pretty quickly. After working out the problem haven't had one since and don't have to refill very regularly.

Whirlfloc only helps settle out the hot break before you transfer it. Assuming you didn't transfer too much trub or hop material what you were seeing is most likely the cold break. The cold break loses its solubility at lower temperatures and becomes visible. It's not an issue as it will settle...

My guess would also be that they're assuming you'd be fixing it to the plasterboard. Bit of timber support and it should be fine........ shotgun not testing that theory first!!!
